Move through all phases, and you will realize none of them are pretty. One day you will turn emotionless, numb and questionably heartless - something very different from what you used to be.
The innocence has gone with the past. The lines on the face are appearing fast. You are growing up or some would call it, maturing.
Soon enough, you look in the mirror and don't recognize the person staring back at you. You don't look or feel the same, and the body, has a mind of its own and again, doesn't look or feel the same.
Never thought a year could make so much difference to one person. You were a person who was just exploring life and love, and on the road, you forgot yourself.

Time isnt going to wait. But once in a while, stop. Take a breath. Remember, cherish and let go. Change is the only constant thing you will come across. So why not embrace it. Allow yourself to change, but dont lose yourself in the process.

You never know who you really are until you put yourself through the pain of breaking a heart and burning a bridge. You never know the person in the mirror until you have loved and lost.
And then, somewhere along the way, a wee bit off the road, you discover that the person you thought you were and the person you truly are, have daylight between them.
Whatyoudo now is pick up the pieces of the broken heart, the ash from the burning bridge and build a new world - a world that keeps the faith.
Whatyoudo now is to look back at the year, and look ahead at a lifetime. And then look back in the mirror - no longer innocent, perhaps mature, but ready for the world.
Whatyoudo now is pick up the fragments of imagination that, a year ago, built the whole world, throw them away and look for new inspiration.
Whatyoudo now, my friend, is recognize the value of loneliness, for it comes not only from being alone, but also from being the best. It comes not only from being friendless, but also from being on top of the world.
You may be emotionless, numb and heartless, but you have only begun to discover yourself. It isn't good to be so harsh towards someone who doesn't really know who they are - especially if that someone is you!
